I have here a 1/43 Herpa Porsche 911 (991.2) Carrera 4S dealer model.
The (still current) 991 was revised in 2015 for the 2016 model year. The updated Porsche 911 (referred to as 991.2 internally at Porsche) introduced new styling and options, along with all new, smaller 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six engines across the range. This was the first time standard Carrera models had adopted turbocharged engines rather than naturally aspirated ones.
I bought this off a friend (for a cheap price) who works in the automotive industry. He got it as a door gift at one Porsche event he attended, and being in the industry he’s got so many 1/43 models to fill up an entire warehouse ( or so he says!), so he put it up for sale and I quickly grabbed the chance to add the latest 991.2 to my collection.
“Little Miss Sunshine” here is a real beaut, as can be seen by the pictures. I never knew Herpa made 1/43 model cars. From young I always associated the brand with making those tiny cars! I love the detailing on this car. Too good!
Have a good Sunday everyone!
