This Christmas I received a HUGE amount of diecasts, some really amazing stuff. I’m going to combine it all here into one gigantic haul post.
First off is my Secret Super package. This came a few days before Christmas, and my wife grabbed it, wrapped it, and put it under the tree for me. So many of us know each others real name and addresses from trading, that I know this is from Pasticprints. His package was flabbergasting. I was nothing short of stunned, both by how much he sent me, and by the amazing quality of it all. Just look at all this great stuff!
Two AutoWorlds, two Racing Champions, and a Moon Eyes M2 Ford truck. Several months ago we were going to trade for these, then I was going to buy them, and then because I suck at checking my email, that never happened.
Next we have some incredible Hot Wheels. Three Super Treasure Hunts ... THREE! The blue ‘83 Silverado with the white tires is a really sweet custom (that blister is open, and I presume it’s just in it to protect the truck). That badboy will be getting its own feature soon! Then there’s that Zamac ‘59 Chevy Sedan Delivery. I just LOVE this casting, and that is a super cool version!
Not done yet, no sir! A couple more Squarebodies, including one in this sweet MBX 5-pack that will be DLM’d really soon. A cool version of the ‘62 Chevy truck on a short card, and a sweet Bonneville stock car!
This is one heckuva package, ain’t it? Well don’t get up just yet, because there’s more to go! Four Greenlight Green Machines!!! This brings my total Green Machines count to ... FOUR! I’ve got a fine selection of cop cars here, plus a sweet Cheers edition ‘67 Corvette.
Which leads us to ... something even more! A 1:43 Wrangler Green Machine! I guess I now have FIVE Green Machines then :)
So yeah, that package was just incredible. There’s actually more to it, but I’m saving the rest for Micro Monday. Thank you so much Plasticprints!
On the same day I received a package from Vdubyajohn. My wife wrapped this one as well, and there was a ton of good stuff! Side note: my wife opened the packages thinking she was going to wrap the individual cars, but when she some how many diecasts were in each one, she just put them all into gift bags. When I went to open them, she told me, “You’re blog friends are nuts. I can’t believe how much stuff they sent you!”
First off is a batch of Chevy trucks. Or particular note is The Fall Guy truck. I have one of these, one of you fine folks sent it to me, but this one is in way better shape. I was going to restore the other one, but since I have this one, I now feel free to customize it instead. Also dig that JL El Camino! Plus a second Yatming Blazer like the one Pixel sent me last month. This one will have it’s suspension fixed, and the one Pixel sent me can now be customized.
Not content to let the Bowtie Brigade have all the fun, we’ve got some fantastic Fords as well (and a cool Euro van, which I really don’t know what it is). The yellow Majorette Bronco II is a Sonic Flasher. While it no longer flashes, it does still sonic :)
We wrap this package up with a fine selection of open wheel racers! Plus a sweet Porsche 959 to be the pace car! Thanks again for all these John!
On Christmas Eve, one more package arrived. This one came from Philipilihp. The anticipation of the other packages was killing me, so I snatched this one and fled to the basement before my wife could see it :)
I was expecting the amazing JL wagon, but Philip also sent along this sweet ‘67 Firebird, a fantastic early 2nd gen Camaro, a wild and crazy Tuk-Tuk, and a fantastic old MBX Dodge stakebed truck. It’s a diverse and fantastic haul that ticks a lot of my boxes! Thank you Philip!
That wraps up what I recieved from LaLD. I just feel compelled to say, that you all continue to amaze me with how awesome you are! Thank you all for everything! This place is just the best.
I got a nice haul from my wife as well. Admittedly I picked them out, and to be fair how could she possible keep track of what I have :)
Except for this Majorette. My says that my daughters picked it out for me. I guess they know me pretty well too :)
