After getting that Signature Models BMW 700, I decided to go see what else they made. It seems they did quite a few unusual cars, and I found this pair of non-mint, unboxed models from their 1/18 series cheap so picked them up with combined shipping from the same seller. They did come with their plinths, although both of those have some wear.
First is this Cord 810. They also did a Cord in 1/32. Interestingly, that model was of a supercharged car but this one isn’t; It is fun though and the exterior at is extremely white. White body, white roof, whitewall tires!
Second is this 1963 Studebaker Avanti. The Cord is missing its rear license plate decal. The Avanti’s rear plate decal fell off after it arrived, and it’s also missing one wing mirror and has some wear to the window surround chrome and a couple of tiny chips to the paint. Some bare metal foil will fix the chrome and I’m sure I can find a pair of suitable 60's racing mirrors to use on it too. I should be able to touch in the chips easily too, since the car is just gloss black.
My absolute favorite thing about this model is the dusty-pink and white interior. It just screams 1963, especially with the gray carpet and black exterior to contrast.
