Big things with little cars
The Deluxe Micro Machines had doors, hoods and trunks that opened. If your fingers are small enough.

Finally, a place I can call home, or at least be amongst my people - Car people. Toy People. FUN people. Muchos gracias to those who have let me into this community. Im pretty amped to be able to share my goodies with you, and check out all the great stuff you all have to offer.

Originally, I wanted to start by parading my (needlessly) large office die-cast show around the interwebbery...then i stumbled upon these bad boys in the attic. I knew Ijust had to find that bright red MM box, stashed somewhere underneath all my TYCO slot tracks, GI Joes, and hot wheels tracks. I knew it would be a blast to reminisce back to a time when Micro Machines seemed, well...a bit bigger to me.

After a few dusty minutes, I unearthed the prize I had been looking for. All of my Micro Machines were intact, most notably the ones you see in the main picture. Trains, planes, and automobiles of all kinds and colors - but not sizes! - rested in the carrying case.

These deluxe editions are different than anything else I have in the container. Despite being the size of a damn quarter, they have working doors, hoods and trunks. Working, that is, only if I can manage to pry my now adult-sized fingers into the tiny gaps in the bodywork to open them up.

I was pretty shocked when I did a quick search and came up with these links, declaring the Deluxes as “RARE!” and selling for up to $30.00 on MicroMachineUniverse.com

Porsche 959, Ferrari Mondial, Ferrari F40

Now, I realize that this may just be another “shitlord seller” as a great post i recently read on here mentioned. In fact, I cant imagine anyone shilling out anything close to the price of a few good steaks or a nice bag o’ wheed for anything this small, especially those not in the original packaging. But I can dream, right?

Now, i always knew what the Red and Silver cars were...I mean, CMON NOW SON. These are LEGENDS. The original supercars, the Ferrari F40 and the Porsche 959.

But I never knew what the hell the gold car was. Not a damn clue. I can tell the type of car coming toward me just from the headlights alone most times. This golden microstrosity has always been a damn ghost to me. So, if the shitlords did anything for me, its to finally reveal its identity to me...a Ferrari Mondial.
