Most awaited release of the year, for me.

I am a mega fan of this particular vehicle, especially the final version of this gen II Mitsubishi Pajero  / Montero / Shogun. It has a cult status in my country as well, being the vehicle of choice for the rich since the late 80's. Gen II Pajero became a huge hit in the country, and was locally referred to as “Intercooler” - a nickname courtesy of the INTERCOOLER TURBO 2500 / 2800 stickers at the rear quarter of the GLS versions. The rich bought the high - end variants in bucketloads, and the police were given the base high roof variant (some of which are still in perfect condition, despite the mediocre maintenance). To own an “intercooler” was pretty much a status symbol, and still is.

Actually the gen II Pajero was very pleasant to the eye, especially in the last facelift where it received a new bumper with fogs, blister fenders (which took away the plastic wide fenders of the high - end variants, new indicators and a slightly modified grille. Minor changes, but made a nice looking car even better. Sadly the only available die cast models of this version are the Sunstar (terrible front, so - so finish) and the Autoart (price!). And then came the news of a potential TLVN model of the gen II.

To say that it is good, is an understatement.

Thankfully the mirrors are already attached to the car, and only the fender mirror needs to be glued separately. Needless to say it will stay in its runner for the predictable future. The rear door and spare looks that wee bit off from the side but that is no deal breaker at all.

In short, a must have for virtually anyone IMO.
