I decided to try my hand at a mild custom, even ventured to take a car apart (I haven’t done that in quite some time). I picked up the ‘70 Chevelle SS Wagon in an interesting livery, kind of a demolition derby theme going on. Not too thrilled with the red tires, but they will have to do. As of now, I’ve only…
There’s nothing better than having your vehicle covered in flames to tell people you work in the fire brigade.
I admit I had to be creative with the name day rule... Since I was unDLM’ing some models to make room for those that came in Frosted’s iHWEP, I thought it was a good time to revisit this HW 100% Chevrolet Chevelle in white.
I love this casting, detail-wise it is just amazing, and the color is awesome. The tampos are great but the interior could be better, the massive motor sticking out of the hood give a brutal appearance, a monster ready to fly down the road...
It’s my favorite day of the week, and I have a newish acquisition to share with you that I’m very pleased with. The Pop Culture stuff can be very hit or miss, but this one is a winner on pretty much all fronts.
*In reference to what I thought was an error, CyborgAbeLincoln and blu240 both, kindly corrected me and pointed out that the number 366 on the hood refers to the number of days in a leap year, and not the c.i.d. of the engine, 396. The fog of confusion lifts and is replaced with the veil of embarrassment. Maybe I need…
I said I was probably done last night, but then I had to go to Target to pick up some Nyquil and bread and stuff. I spotted this Johnny Lightning 1967 Chevelle Malibu and figured I should snag it for one last hurrah.
Didn’t get to taking pictures till just now, so no daylight, but here they are anyway. This is a great Hot Wheels casting that has only been released 3 times (as I just learned, so apparently I need to buy the other one). The blue/yellow one is from the 2012 Stockcar series, and the white/red one is the Boulevard…
A recent acquisition in from a Wheel Collectors purchase that also included the orange Chevelle wagon from Wednesday and the Nomad from last week.
‘69 CHEVELLE SS 396 BY HOT WHEELS - Easily one of my favorite models in my collection
Sunday I posted a random older picture from my phone as an Hour Rule. It just happened to be a favorite casting, the HW ‘70 Chevelle racer. Tuesday I posted a uTesday picture of an M2 El Camino. The vast majority of my utes are Elkies, so it’s not so weird that it was a 1970 Chevelle platform car. Yesterday, I posted…
I recently acquired this version of one of my favorite castings. 70's cars always look good in orange and I like the flames on this one. Tampos are nice and crisp, which is a bonus.
Great casting, great deco.
Vintage barn wood Water-damaged windowsill for that hipster cred. Extra-hipster version below:
Because race car.
I know the song’s title is Thunderstruck , not Thunderbolt, but this version of it caught my fancy so much that I had to write this post just so I could use the video, and Thunderbolt was the closest car name I could match to it…
For no other reason than that I liked it. Apparently there is a reverse colour scheme coming as well - but it's a (USA) K-Mart exclusive. Bummer.
Shop-teacher recently made me an offer I couldn't refuse, since he knew I was interested in the 3 Musketeers Chevelle delivery. I love this casting so much, in both versions. He also indicated that he had another little something that I would like, so I was looking forward to the package when it arrived on Monday.
This Chevelle looks like it will eat you and your car for breakfast, and doesn't care about alliteration or what day it is.
Some of my favorite American Muscle for Eddie. The red Elky carries extra good wishes in the bed. The blue one has no room left because its bed is full of POWAH!
