This is definitely my favorite fantasy casting. It’s fun, with just enough realism, motorsports, and iconic liveries.
This is a 1/18 True Scale Miniatures McLaren F1 GTR. It is a replica of the overall winner of the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans. Notable is the fact that this car defeated a field of prototypes, one of only two times a production based GT car has done so at Le Mans. The car was driven by Yannick Dalmas, Massanori Sekiya,…
For the wildcard, I’ll show this Tomica F1 Panasonic Toyota TF103. This was the car Toyota used in the 2003 Formula One season, and it was driven by Frenchman Olivier Panis and Brazilian Cristiano da Matta.
A custom 1949 Ford F1 pick up, great paint and awesome tampos :)
It’s the whitewalls. How can you NOT be classy while rolling on white walls?
Some of you may remember that a handful of us posted our Ueno Clinic TSM 1/18 McLaren F1s earlier this year. Well, I was sorting through some pictures tonight and noticed something about mine that I didn’t see before...look at tires and then look at the tire company that has decals on the car!
Slowly, but steadily, the Altaya Lendas Brasileiras do Automobilismo (Brazilian Motorsports Legends) collection is getting to the newstands on my state. So I finally grabbed this awesome Brabham, driven by José Carlos Pace.
What’s arrived in the mail today?
Oh yeah beh beh, my 1:64 Ferrari F192A Formula 1 car by Kyosho. This #28 was Capelli’s ride.
The F1 GTR is cool and all, but sometimes you need something more practical. Something you can take your spouse and one kid to the shops in. Using a bespoke set of grocery bags, obviously.
If you’ve ever read my full screenname, you’ll know I’m a big Nissan guy. So when M2 announced their Auto-Japan series, obviously I go excited. I don’t normally collect M2, so this was a nice way to add some to my collection.
That’s right folks! The McLaren F1 is finally out and hitting TRU stores everywhere! The Bell King found some at his local store and gave me the heads up (thanks TBK!). So of course I hurried off and checked my local store on my lunch break, and managed to snag two of them! One to keep carded, and one to immediately…
Hnnnnnggghhh....... black beauty.......
I teased it for a week, but here it is finally! My new (to me) 1/18 1993 McLaren F1 road car by Maisto. I don’t get to dip in to the 1/18 scale too often given their typical high price and size contrasting my current lack of storage/display space and diecast budget. But the bug bit me a few weeks back while on…
I just got these three 1/43rd F1 GTRs and thought I’d share. I know it’s been an F1-heavy day, but honestly, can you ever have too much?
For Woking Wednesday, I thought it’d be appropriate to show this Minichamps Le Mans McLaren F1 GTR ‘car no. 30', considering that Le Mans is nearing, and that I’ve been seeing LOTS of McLaren GTR posts here on LaLD. I don’t want to miss out on the fun too, so here’s mine.
Just some shots of a McLaren F1 outside. ORAT!!
Just a quick shot of my Kyosho McLaren F1 collection. I just ordered a couple more for some customizations. I’m planning on doing an LM, the 1995 Le Mans pre-qualifying livery (silver and orange), and a yellow Harrods GTR.
And only because I don’t want Androoo’s Harrods car to feel lonely.
If there is one truth I’ve found to be universal in life, it’s that for F1 cars, much like birds, three in the hand is better than a full grid on the track.
