Here it is, we all knew somebody had to do an SUV. The hot paint isn’t really traditional for VIP, so I’ll say its more fitting to the stance segment. I dig it, its super low. The Land Rover Evoque Coupe from Matchbox got the new 50th anniversary wheels from HW. I was saving these for another build, but they’re too…
1948 Land Rover Series 1 by Matchbox Collectibles: Models Of Yesteryear. And it is 70 years old this year! :D
Needless to say, the MBX Land Rover Defender 110 is a very photogenic model. I used to like the newer, lowered roof variant (such as the one from last year’s LR series version) but this execution of the Globe Travelers made me rethink my comparative dislike to the original design with the taller roof rack.
A new brand joins my collection, and it’s a good one! This is Neo Scale Models’ 1/64 Lincoln Continental Mark V. It’s a sealed resin model in true 1/64, so it’s quite large but also quite light.
Hey, that’s today! :D I hope you are having a great weekend. Here are a couple of trucks. I had to get the Landy out for a test drive.
I bought two new MiJo Exclusive castings, one from Greenlight and one from Johnny Lightning. I haven’t had a chance to take real photos yet as they just arrived yesterday, but I will eventually. So here are some awful phone pics. I couldn’t resist sharing them!
Just a couple of Globe Travelers that I actually found at Walmart! The matte paint on the GT40 is...interesting. But other than that it’s pretty decent. And this is the second premium Defender 110 that has been primarily orange. I do like the new wheels though!
This is a very cool casting from Hot Wheels, I will have to do a group shot one of these days with the other Land Rovers I have in different version from Matchbox.
On my 124th post is a new casting by Hot Wheels for 2018 in which the package also printed the number ‘50' in celebration of Hot Wheels 50th year. What better way to celebrate than by adding a bit of detail to the casting.
The HAWLage continues to trickle in at a steady pace. Found these 5 excellent Hot Wheels this week. This is probably the weakest release for the Integra but it’s still neat. The other 4 cars are fantastic.
Just a couple of Defenders I scored. I’m thinking I need to do another ‘safari’ shoot, soon. Whaddya say?:D
I had gotten some 787Bs out of storage to shoot with my new Tomica Limited Vintage 787B earlier this week. I happened to have a slew of New Superfast in the same box, so I figured I’d give them some attention as well!
a Land Rover Defender!!!
Finally received one of the much awaited parcels from the mailman, and along with it came the Freelander; the latest member of my MBX Land Rover family.
We took a little walk in the woods, so I brought a little truck along.
Our Dollar Tree just like other locations I believe have an abundance of Matchbox Rovers. I didn’t plan on purchasing them but as the stocks began to dwindle I decided to get these 2 as they are the ones I most likely would enjoy.
On my previous blog I wrote about a Rover with the AA logo use by this organization as one if not the only ‘Road Service’ vehicle of choice was most likely due to its 4 wheel drive in order to reach stranded vehicles located in very rough terrain.
When I got this model, I wasn’t aware what the logo AA is for. I wanted a good old fashioned Land Rover and this was available at a decent price.
This truck is from Greenlight and it’s a replica of the “Sgt. Rock” truck from Stacey David’s Gearz show. I don’t know anything about the show, but I saw this truck and thought it was pretty cool! It’s very nicely detailed and looks just like the truck featured on the show. I love how big it is! And how can you go…
