The Mazda Repu by Hot Wheels. Nice casting with a lot of details. I really like the tampos on this puppy, specially the taillights and script on the back.
A quick photo shoot for engine week.
This is Ignition Model’s SA Mazda RX-7. It’s a sealed resin model in 1/43 scale and it is absolutely gorgeous.
A myriad of reasons contribute to this user’s inability to post original content on this board. One is money, or the lack of it. Another is time, in more ways than one. Timing spotting runs to local release time frames is a tricky thing to do, to say nothing about arriving in time, while stocks are fresh and the…
I am no perfectionist, but I have this idea in my head of what new is. I am on my second purchase of AutoArt’s Initial D Rx-7. The first purchased on eBay from what I thought was a reputable seller with a large amount of feedback. When I brought the issues to their attention, they offered a partial refund but then…
Just two cars in this HAWL entry, but man are they two good ones! First, the Tomica Limited Vintage Honda Civic Type R (EK9). This one was a surprise as I was not expecting it until April. It’s top-notch even by TLV standards. The Championship White is perfect and the red bucket seats really stand out like they…
The stash from Ck Model Cars finally came home yesterday with my friend who is here on a vacation. Originally I thought that it was a mistake to splurge like this, but on hindsight, with the kind of deal I got (with flat shipping), I can’t think of even one of these that I wouldn’t want in my collection. And I am so…

Found this at Goodwill the other day. Card is bent and creased, but since I had not seen it in stores (and they had no other carded Hotwheels, just the usual loose junk in plastic bags) I had to pick it up.
Just a couple of quick pictures of a little display I set up with some of my 1/43 models.
Finally found these things! They were at a Target a bit outside my city. The 510 was gone already, but these were the 3 I wanted anyway. It’s a great set and I love the two new Nissan castings.
Happy New Year, LaLD! It’s been an interesting one. Fortunately, things have kept chugging along here and it’s been another great year as part of this community. Here’s to many more to come!
I love the Top Ten lists that people have been posting so I decided ot get in on the action. 2017 was probably a bit slow…
Just a handful of Matchbox finds. This will likely close out my big-box store finds for the year, but there should be more in the mail before the new year ;)
The HAWLage continues to trickle in at a steady pace. Found these 5 excellent Hot Wheels this week. This is probably the weakest release for the Integra but it’s still neat. The other 4 cars are fantastic.
Took a big step with the V8ePu this weekend. I painted it yellow, dirtied and detailed it up, and threw on some new shoes that I think I’m pretty happy with.
It took me four tries to work out the hinge, and did a terrible job sawing the hood out in the first place, but I still dig how it came out.
Two new ones today. The Jada Supra was a TRU fine. The Tomica Limited Vintage 787B I actually paid for from a Japanese vendor on Saturday. They shipped it yesterday and in spite of the “2-7 day” DHL shipping option I chose, it arrived today! You can find more on it here.
It’s been too long since I posted a HAWL! Just haven’t acquired too much lately and my photography spot had been occupied by something else. But it’s now it’s time to catch up!
