The best part? I did it for only $20.
Minichamps 1/43. Are Miami Blue and Acid Green the best OEM colors offered today?
It’s a 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S (991) in Platinum Silver over Espresso with the Carrera S wheels.
Specifically the 1982 24hr of Le Mans GTO class winner. Teutonic Tuesday.
This is a Porsche 935/76 as run by Martini Racing Porsche System in the 1976 24 Hours of Le Mans, recreated by Minichamps in 1/43 scale. Driven by Rolf Stommelen and Manfred Schurti, it finished 1st in class and 4th overall.
Another stunner from Patrick at Model Citizen Diecast. This is a Minichamps 1/43 Porsche Cayman GT4 in Acid Green, one of only 336 pieces. No special story or anything for this one. Just an awesome car that I had to have the moment I saw it.
No 7-series today. No Recycling either! A bit of a suprise: A totally new model! It is a Neue Klasse, I did some of those on day 2, but after I announced on Instagram ///May week was coming fellow Instagrammer and local BMW nut @denniselbers (owning both an M10 E21 and an M20 E12!) came to the rescue!
I know it’s day 6 of ///May week but it’s the 5th day of the week and “E” is the 5th letter of the alphabet. So it goes. The E1.
The Benchmark. That’s what the automotive press named every single M5 generation. I only was lucky enough to try the F10 from Motorsport but that one wasn’t nearly as impressive as that E92 M3. I’d probably rather try an M5 from the E60 generation. Why?
Next up in the 5-series lineup is the E34, which was produced from 1988 to 1996. It was the first 5-series to be offered in wagon form, in both regular and M versions. Speaking of M versions, I’m kinda in the same trick-bag with them as I am with the 5-er overall; 6 days to cover, but only 5 cars, unless I find a…
As I am, just like TFritch, the proud owner of an 02, of course I have some casts on that one.
Day one of ///May week is for the 1 of course. And another extremely busy week means another #loopholeweek for me. Or rather: #recycleweek. As I’ve been around over here I’m sure some of you will recognize stuff, and I’m sure others won’t.
Recently I got my Tomica G. The Gelände. And it’s nice to see the difference with how a SUV has evolved when you put a more recent one next to it. I don’t have MLs or something so I’m gettin out one of the few 1/64 SUVs I have: Minichamps Porsche Cayenne GTS.
Loop Hole Week LaLD Engine Week continues, will 2 straight fives positioned in a “V” make a V10?
Too much work to be done today, engine week will prove to be hard for me! As is today actually.
Well, maybe that’s a bit harsh on the first gen X5, Rodeo Drive Traktor. But it was BMW’s first attempt for a SUV and we Europeans only follow trends set on the other side of the Atlantic years, maybe even decades later.
This is the Minichamps 1/43 scale Lamborghini LM002.
Just a couple of quick pictures of a little display I set up with some of my 1/43 models.
Another order from Model Citizen Diecast. I love, love, love Miami Blue, so when Patrick posted this thing on Instagram I knew I had to have it. It’s a 1/43 Minichamps and it’s drop-dead gorgeous.
