I have this puppy in dark blue as well, but this yellow beast really caught my eye (I think the black hood is supposed to add 15 mph to the top speed...)
Lamborghini Miura from the Best of the World series by Matchbox. Cool casting, great tampos and beautifully finished model.
I got lucky and I found two blue Mazda RX-7s from Hotwheels this past weekend, from the then and now series it seems, the grandpa and grandkid, pretty cool castings and color, too bad the newer RX-7doesn’t have the same tampos as the old one :)
I’ve always loved the combination of yellow and black in a car, this Corvette caught my eye for that very reason. Unfortunately it has a couple of smudges on its side which I didn’t notice until I opened the package, I haven’t tried to clean them yet. I’m a big fan of the current iteration of the Chevrolet Corvette,…
Pretty nice casting of the DB10 from Aston Martin by Hot Wheels, it’s a nice companion to the Silver James Bond DB5 from Hot Wheels I have in my collection. I love the details and the tampos, specially the tampos on the hood.
A very cool F type Jaguar from our friends at Matchbox, cool color, it makes the black bits pop... I think I had left this casting on the pegs before because I never liked the colors they offered.
I’m not a big fan of matte finishes on cars, but this puppy looks good in matte black, I think it is because of the contrast with the yellow bits, good casting.
This was my first time attending the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion. Hopefully it won’t be my last!
I posted my Z Whiz last week without knowing I would run into another cool casting at the Dollar Tree store. I found the Nissan Fairlady Z custom there, it had been eluding me for a while. It is a very cool model, I love the color and the tampos. When I got the little guy home, I decided to put it side by side with…
The Thomassima III by Hot Wheels
The Cat-a-pult by Hot Wheels. I’ve heard this is based on the Cheetah sports car of the 60's. I really like to colors and tampos on to front and the smiling “face” of the car. By doing some research, I’m starting to discover that I have a lot of first issues/editions of some castings, a happy consequence of picking up…
Thats Saturdays meet!
I was at my local Wally mart last week and no one was around the Hot Wheels, so I took a good look and found a Mazda RX-7 in a racing livery and had to get it :D
