Images have been published. Mini GT’s Hong Kong Facebook page uploaded pictures of the new McLaren Senna casting last night, slated for October release.
Would you believe me if I told you this was $7?
Honda Civic Type R FK8 1:64 by MINI GT - TSM Model Scale Miniatures in ‘Aegean Blue’.
Specifically the 1982 24hr of Le Mans GTO class winner. Teutonic Tuesday.
I already wrote up the history and background of this car for Car Week 2018, so thankfully we can go straight to the photos!
This is the 2003 24 Hours of Le Mans winning Bentley Speed 8, recreated in resin by TSM in 1/18 scale.
This is a 1/18 True Scale Miniatures McLaren F1 GTR. It is a replica of the overall winner of the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans. Notable is the fact that this car defeated a field of prototypes, one of only two times a production based GT car has done so at Le Mans. The car was driven by Yannick Dalmas, Massanori Sekiya,…
Supposedly they’re becoming available very soon and judging by this shot, they will be quite detailed. I can’t wait.
Sorry guys, I’m going with the obvious choice here. And I’m even reusing photos as I have not had any time this weekend to take new ones.
When I showed it last week during Car Week I didn’t have much time to write proper words to accompany this awesome car or take the photos it deserves. But what better day to try to make up for that than Teutonic Tuesday?
The year: 1974. The race: British Airways 1000KM at Brands Hatch. Drivers: Gijs van Lennep and Herbert Müller. Car: 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR Turbo 2.1.
Once a year I get to splurge on a 1:18 for my birthday. Because this is a once a year occurrence, I have to make it count. Two years ago I got the Gozzy Kremer Porsche 935K3, last year I got the McLaren F1 GTR “Ueno Clinic,” and this year I went back to my 935 roots and went for the legendary #0 Interscope Racing…
This one is close to home. Our family car for the last 10 years has been a Honda Pilot. First a 2004, then a 2010, now a 2016. I’m guessing our next one will have to be a MY2022...
Honda North America distributes models whenever we release a new product to market. All the cars you see were designed in Ohio (with exception of the Civic type-r)
My admiration for this model grows by the day.
Happy New Year, LaLD! It’s been an interesting one. Fortunately, things have kept chugging along here and it’s been another great year as part of this community. Here’s to many more to come!
I love the Top Ten lists that people have been posting so I decided ot get in on the action. 2017 was probably a bit slow…
Some of you may remember that a handful of us posted our Ueno Clinic TSM 1/18 McLaren F1s earlier this year. Well, I was sorting through some pictures tonight and noticed something about mine that I didn’t see before...look at tires and then look at the tire company that has decals on the car!
It’s about 10:30 PM here in Cali at the time of this writing, which means I’ve still got time to squeeze in today’s racecar. And it looks like I’ve just about exhausted all of the ones I have in 1/18, so here’s a reshoot of one of my favorites: the Harrods liveried McLaren F1 GTR, by TSM. Burn the old photos with…
This car won the 1995 24 Hr of Le Mans, as we all know, and have all read about ad nauseam, but it’s just such a beast of a car I couldn’t help but pull it out.
