Big things with little cars

This my first post on LALD so I guess a self-introduction is in order.

I'm an 18 year old student from Sing apore and have just gotten back into collecting cars recently.

I've also spent quite a lot of time building models and this has translated into buikding scaled props and dioramas to display alongside my collection.

So with that out of the way, let's get back on topic.

Taxis, they're EVERYWHERE. Wherever someone is willing to pay for a ride, there's always someone else willing to take up that offer.

So in the spirit of exchanging money to get from one place to another, here are a couple of Toyota crown comfort taxis I got recently.

The black taxi is from tomica and the quality of the car speaks for itself. The build of the car is solid and as a whole the model feels nice and dense.

Heck, it even has an opening door, just one though.

This other taxi came from Toys "R" Us' very own line of fastlane models and for being part of a house brand line, it's pretty detailed, down to the number plate and even pretty realistic looking wheels (from the side at least.)

The best part has got to be the fact that it's based on a real taxi company. Yup, this is a licensed product.

It's not all great though, unfortunately, fastlane cars often aren't as well built as cars from most other companies and it applies here as well, but it's well worth it for the amount of detail you get in exchange.

Overall, two models of the same car from different companies excelling in different areas and two new additions to the collection.
