I usually don’t buy Hot Wheels. But when I do... Last year the HW Porsche Series was featured on LaLD a lot. And when I heard there was going to be a Hot Wheels BMW Series I expected these to come by a lot as well. It’s been awfully quiet though. I was waiting for the first posts on these to paige my Springfield-connection to get some for a next iHWEP. And then I ran into...
All 8. On one peg. In a Dutch toystore (we don’t have a lot of HW’s over here). They probably were sorted on the Series-number as well. Naturally I had to take ‘m all. And a spare 2002 to DLM as quick as possible.
I’m a bit disappointed there’s no tampo/paint for both head- and tail-lights, those would really have made this little one complete. Nevertheless it’s a great cast, I can’t imagine why I didn’t have another HW 2002 already. Well, probably because we don’t have a lot of HW’s as I mentioned earlier.
Good thing about this is the fact it actually motivated me to get some work done on my own ‘02. So I finally mounted the Eibachs/Bilsteins and the reworked rear suspension:
But that’s for another Oppo post maybe. This summer. It will hoon again.
So what is the problem with this Hot Wheels BMW Series: Why doesn’t it get more love over here? Or is it still that rare? The artwork of the Porsche Series appealed to me better and I think I would have came up with another line-up if HW had just ask me but nevertheless: I’m thrilled to have gotten them all.
It’s just a bummer it all happened so quick. No rush, no ecstatic feeling when you finally find that one you were looking for for quite a while. 1st World problems... Das war es wieder, now go get ‘m all! Tschüss!
P.S. Had to try the Chroma Key function of the Foldio app, yay, even more to go experimenting with:
