One of the Hot Wheels “Silhouette” series, the Prosche 935/78 was a mighty racing car indeed - though not really a Silhouette car. But - let’s not be pedantic.

Hot Wheels chose to recreate this version from the 1983 6 Hours of Riverside, and as driven by AJ Foyt, Mario Andretti and Bill Whittington.

This was the final iteration of the 935 - and introduced water cooled cylinder heads. The engine was enlarged, and the whole was modified to tae advantage of a number of loop holes in the Group 5 regulations.

The Riverside race was not a success for this car, recording a DNF. But still, this car has been modelled by various manufacturers due to the famous drivers and attractive livery.
