Teutonic Two Thousand Twosday

Another old BMW today to follow up on last week’s Bavaria, with more 2002s to come over the next couple of weeks. This is the BMW 2002 Turbo in 1/43 by Solido. As you can see, it’s not the best cast ever made of the venerable 2002, but it’s a fun one to have nonetheless. I have a soft spot for Solidos because they’re, well, solid. Not the most accurate, but they don’t feel fragile so I’m not afraid to have them displayed in the house where my little Tasmanian Devils might accidentally reach one. Also I’m a sucker for 2002 casts of any kind because of the ‘68 in the garage. I know I’m not the only one here who has this problem... or the only one who has this cast, for that matter! Enjoy.

Taillights need a little trimming...
The dash is so, so wrong.
Kind of an odd cast at the leading edges of the fenders... like a combination of Schnitzer and OEM Turbo flares.
The wheels are cool, but shouldn’t be chrome and need the gaps filled in
