Big things with little cars

So, it’s not technically a hwep, it was more of a gift that, if I can, make it up to him. But it was a awesome gift, a 1/24 trailer with a RAOK! :D. But first a interesting story on how the USPS hates me.

Ok, so there are a total of two houses on my street, not that difficult but USPS seems to think it is. It probably doesn’t help that our mailbox is on the next street over, but my house is on the corner of the two roads, so I can walk to the mailbox within 30 seconds.

Anyways, the USPS has developed a knack for sending my package to the wrong house. One time they sent our packages to the next road over, which has the same numbers as our house but on a different street. Another time they put the package at the house closest to our mailbox....except that the house isn’t even on our street, nor do the numbers match up, and they have their own mailbox right next to their front door!

Anyways, I’ve called and complained about these things, because they kept happening repeatedly. But our mail man/woman isn’t always the same person. So yesterday I went to the mailbox and I had a good laugh; the mail person isn’t even trying anymore. We got two packages, one inside the mailbox, and one placed right next to it on the post. I’ll have to call USPS to see if that’s the norm for this area, but I thought it was interesting that they decided to stop seeking out my phantom house, :).

Back to what you guys want to really see, I’ve discovered that the trailer hitch is a bit high, but its roughly the right size for the Ford COE, and hopefully the S-10 too ( the S-10 is in piecess at the moment). It’s too tall to look believable with the mustang. I’ll have to reinvestigate Tinfoil’s tow and hitch guide to see if I can scale it up, :).

I discovered it doesn’t like to keep balanced well on its own, so I’ll have to get creative. Perhaps a foam block painted to look like a cement block? Another thing to investigate, lol.

The harlequin mustang fits great on the trailer, but something can fit on it even better...

*cue dramatic music* The track day corvette looks amazing on the trailer, hooray! :D

I also discovered the Ford COE is too wide for the trailer, but the two cars I really wanted to haul around, the corvette and mustang, fit perfectly. That’s all that I really wanted, :).

The RAOK! I took this out first, which then confused me because...

...it’s nearly identical to the 1/24 version. Seriously, I thought “wait, I swore this was bigger....”

But now I get a way to make sweet pics like this! I would of taken more pics, but a sick child takes priority to an amazing gift.

Again, thank you for your generosity vdubyajohn! I promise these trailers will be put to good use! :D
