The Accidental Kyosho

So last weekend, in the boredom that is the calm before the storm for my final semester of community college, I embarked on an eBay Kyosho challenge. Not to be swayed by the temptation of a $20 Kyosho or TSM, I stumbled across an $80, or best offer BMW 750Li, by Kyosho. As an outspoken defender of the reputation of Bangle, this was the last car released during his time at BMW, as he retired a few months after the F01/F02 were released so naturally I had to have it. I sent in an offer for $60, trying to hit at the lowest release price. Within a few hours, I received a counteroffer for $75. Soon, I countered with the deal of “$69.99, or my name isn’t Billy Mays, guaranteed!” A few hours later, I received a message from them, reading “Billy Mays $69.99. Will ship this car out Monday by USPS Priority Mail. It is a striking car with great blue paint. You will love it. —- or my name isn’t Billy Mays!”

It arrived on Wednesday evening, just in time for me to unbox it in art class. The mirrors didn’t survive transit intact, but after a smear of library glue, they were back in their right place. Not bad for a car I didn’t expect to have!
