In this world that we live in, there are fast cars, very fast cars, extremely fast cars and then there are these! Built with only one goal in mind which is to break land speed records!

So one such machine amongst such vehicles is the Thrust SSC. Built by the SSC Programme limited, this vehicle is the current world land speed record holder. It set the world land speed record on the 15th of October 1997 by clocking an unreal speed of 763 MPH or 1228 KPH!

Doing this, it also became the world’s first land speed vehicle to officially break the sound barrier. This Behemoth of a vehicle is powered by twin Rolls Royce Spey 205 turbofan engines putting out a total thrust equivalent of around 110,000 horsepower! The vehicle was piloted by British Air Force pilot Andy Green in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada.

This particular model which I’ve featured here has been reproduced by Lledo in 1:100 and is absolutely gorgeous.
