This strange-shaped first responder was affectionately dubbed "the duck ambulance" in my childhood stable. Not because its designation was to rescue waterfowl, but because of its unusual bird-like shape. The official name, believe it or not, was "The Strecha Fetcha."

Built as a Matchbox by Lesney Products in 1971 (apparently, according to the underside) this little guy belonged to my father before he gave it to me.

Detail is decentā€” there's an incapacitated individual on the starboard side cot, and you can make out a steering wheel and seats through the weirdly geometric front glass. I guess they reckoned the stiff in the back could wait while the blokes driving went for a smoke or something.
