The latest offerings from Tomica have been either a hit or a miss unlike their older casting which are meticulously crafted and adored by collectors all over the world. The newer releases are affected by rising material and labour costs, but I wonder how expensive Tomica will be if they keep making them in the native land.

While I think about that, here's a vintage Tomica in the form of the Rolls Royce Phantom VI; me thinks it's made in the early '70s. Despite being made 30-odd years ago, it still looks a country mile better than the pieces that are released recently.
