The Aston Martin V12 Vantage was produced from 2009 to 2013 in coupe form, and 2012-2014 in roadster form, after which both were replaced with the more powerful Vantage S models.

The basic premise of the V12 Vantage was the combination of the 510hp V12 from the higher end DBS placed in the lower end V8 Vantage - a sort of mild form of a gentleman’s hot rod, if you will.

The most notable exterior difference is the presence of extra vents on the hood.

The new V12 Vantage S basically has the new V12 from the Vanquish, which replaced the DBS.

I bought this Welly a couple weeks ago at a small local toy store chain.

Sadly, the paint is really too thin over many areas, leading to a splotchy look that’s especially pronounced in pictures. Also, it rolls very noisily, and the tires are too thin to be proportional.

On the plus side, however, the proportions are quite nice and the interior and undercarriage are fairly detailed, though the interior, being fully black, is harder to see.
