Big things with little cars

Tiny Hong Kong Town - for the Diorama Freaks

I just found out about this new thing from Hong Kong which looks mighty neat. I haven’t got any of this (yet) - but I think I might some in the near future. It’s a line of model cars and accessories in 1/64, 1/43, 1/35 and 1/18 - all modeled on real life Hong Kong.

Here’s a taste of what is on offer in 1/64(ish):

But it gets better still - look at these lighting accessories. They are controlled via a USB port connected to your computer

All of this comes at a cost, naturally. But the prices are about on par with what you;d expect. The car themselves are ok, the main attraction is that they are the typical sort of cars and buses you see on a Honkers street

These are probably not of huge interest to those not familiar with Hong Kong, but if you’ve been there, they look the part. The rest of the scene you can populate with Tomica, I guess.

You can order this stuff online or directly through their website, they even make custom 3D figurines, so if you want to model yourself in 1/43 or 1/18 - they’ll do that for you!
