This is the last Tomica car I have left, until the next batch arrives. I received this guy in my first HWEP trade, from TE71Xin.

Now some history. I traded a Greenlight '08 Crown Vic and a Greenlight '70 Mustang for a Tomica Subaru Impreza WRX STI and a Tomica Honda CR-Z. Imagine my surprise when I saw 3 cars in the box! Not only that, a Prius! It also came with a note.

Hi Josh, Hope you enjoy the cars, esp Jalopnik's fave car! - [TE71Xin]

Clearly, he set me up because he is super awesome and nice. I plan on getting my revenge by returning the favor (don't you dare one-up me on this TE71Xin, :P).

The scale is 1:60, and it's a really nice car. I prefer it over the real one. Now, I've always thought the real one looked a bit ugly, unappealing. This car replicates that feeling perfectly. Therefore its amazing awesome! :D

Front view. I wonder if you can see it, but there's a 'T' on the front of the car. There is also silver lines across the grill, which must of been hard to do! Above the bumper, on the right, there's a small circle. Not sure what it's for, but I bet it's important and therefore an excellent touch! Again, like the cr-z, white headlights with a silver body. It is honestly an awkward look, and good pics are hard with that color scheme.

Side view. You've probably notice the door handles, right? It's a pretty nice touch. And the rims are sort of 'bland', which really flesh out and blend with the rest of the car. And the shape of the car is spot on with the real thing, that awkward not-really-a-wagon shape.

Notice where you can put in the gas, pretty neat, right?

Rear view. Camera won't focus well, sorry. But you can at least get an idea of the detail of the rear. Again notice the "T" on the trunk, and that to the left of the right tail light it says 'prius' (again, sorry) Pay close attention to the rear window alright?

Rear view [trunk open]. Ok, you know that rear window, notice how you can't see through it. That's because it isn't a window! It's actually black paint, but it blends in really well!

Side view [trunk open]. This is what the car looks like with the trunk open. It actually stays up on its own. When the trunk is closed, the arms blend in with the rest of the car.

Top view. Nothing crazy awesome, but just notice how the painted-on window for the trunk blends in with the rest of the car. You probably would of never had noticed unless I said something.

Bottom view. To my understanding, this wasn't a new car. That being said, the suspension for the back doesn't seem to work all that well, the front works pretty great though. Not sure if that was the original design or not. Regardless, it doesn't take away from the 'neat-o' factor of the car.

My traditional camera shot, because this car looks so good.

Interior shot. Hopefully you can see it, but the interior is actually molded. In the image you can sorta make up where a tv screen might go in the middle console. That's epic.

If you're wondering how I take my pics, this is how I do it. I take computer paper, a light source from above it, and I take pics with my iPhone 4s. I have a real camera, but the iPhone gets the pics I really like. Also, watch out, this may happen.

Would I recommend the Tomica Prius? Yes, yes, and yes. It is an excellent diecast car, and is an amazing addition to my collection. I am very happy I got this surprise car in the trade, :). And of course, if TE71Xin ever makes his way to America, I will take him to all the stores that sell diecast cars.
