Big things with little cars

If you’ve never seen a Tomy Bit Char G, they are about the size of a chubby 1/64, and slightly shorter. They are cute chunky but detailed little Japanese RC cars.

This set was hiding in a box I went through on the weekend! I was really happy to find them, and also once I put fresh AA batteries in the charger/controllers, the batteries in the cars STILL WORK GREAT!!

I bought these years ago for my father and sister as a little holiday fun when we got together. They had since gave them back to me in excellent shape, and I had put them away.

The GTR set is ultra awesome. This one obviously came with three interchangeable bodies.

The details are actually very nice (thanks Tomy) and the plastic bodies are relatively durable.

The cars don’t have proportional control (not really expected) but are easy to drive around a table or flat surface. You can steer them relatively well. They’re pretty fun! Obviously each of my cars is a different frequency for racing!

The gunmetal Nissan Gloria was too cool not to get when I bought these years ago.

It had a few racing encounters with it’s wing, but still good.

The Toyota Celica was also pretty cool, since at the time I bought these they were still relatively new.

Any of you guys have any Bit Char G cars?

I’m just happy the internal batteries are still decent after sitting so long. I know Tomy sells replacement and mod parts for these so it’s not so bad if they were toast.
