Too Early Teutonic Tuesday: Fake Alpina 2002

You may recall the saga of my Solido 2002 Turbo and its botched paint stripping, which resulted in this finely crafted patina finish:

My original plan was to recreate my old square taillight Fjord Blau ‘02 but trying to match that color was impossible, for me anyway.

So I came up with another fiendish plan and retreated to my custom-made spray booth. There, using nothing but the most expensive paint and masking techniques, I began to craft my masterpiece. Here’s a shot of the work in-progress:
