A Ferrari at heart, this Lancia Stratos is one of the holy grails in my collection - any collection. Yeah, it's got one big paint chip on one corner of the spoiler but everywhere else is dead mint.
It's a pretty well looked after piece from the '70s, Tomica did a fantastic job on this Bertone styled body. Tomica with their scarce wheel choices meant your either get their typical button wheels or the dished racing-style wheels, this street-going version gets the former with gold centres to let your imagination to rest of the job to make it looks like the 'coffin-spoke' style wheels
I won't call that flaw, or rather Tomica's signature; those iconic wheels are sometimes used alongside their logos. With working suspension makes more 'exciting' to blast this down the imaginary rally stage.
You mind ask why didn't I go for a perfect model. Pristine vintage Tomica don't cost cheap, with its original boxes it can reach up to US$40. Being a 'homeless' example, it was much cheaper; knowing chances like this don't come often and stingy, I paid close attention to the auction. And being able to own something high on my list is all sorts of win.
That's all the commentary I'll leave you with, hope you enjoy the rest of the pictures!
