Big things with little cars

This here is a first generation Buick Excelle, a compact car made for the Chinese market. We get a more modern version in sedan form called the Verano. But this 1/18 Paudi is a first gen, the one we didn’t get in the US. What it is is junk. Literally. It’s a rebadge Daewoo with some wood trim. It began production in 2003 and only JUST ended this year in August. The TWIN-tec motor in this model was one of GMs Family 1 engines and would’ve put out roughly 100 horsepower making this THE wagon to have. 100 horsepower AND wood trim? What more could you need! Anyway, this is my first Paudi with serious paint issues. It looks like the paint is bubbling up on every inch of the model and I’m afraid it’ll fall apart fairly quick. A bummer but this was pretty cheap, for a dealer model.
