For this wagon Wednesday I present the Studebaker Lark Wagonaire, by Matchbox Lesney. I showed this before in a HAWL post, but here it is all cleaned up.
This is a lovely casting and has nice details, but then I’m a sucker for any nearly any station wagon. This one does have the cool sliding roof feature, where the cargo area retracts, making a sort of pickup.
This was on the actual car, and sadly was both very leak prone and not very popular. Chevy tried it again on one of their SUVs in the 2000s, with much the same result.
All around a great little casting I’m glad to have in my collection.
