Big things with little cars

I actually found these last Friday. They had more, but I picked these because the only thing better than a classic Buick and a classic wagon, would be a Buick wagon (amiright CyborgAbeLincoln?). I actually wasn’t really planning to buy any of these, especially the Nomad because I have a version of this casting from the 90's. When I saw it in person though, I had to have it!

Lets start with the good stuff, which is most of it. The paint is really good, the color choice is great, and the tampos .... oh so many tampos! The tampos are fan-freaking-tastic!!!! The hood opens nicely, and it fits really well. The casting is really good and crisp.

First bit of bad, is the tires on the rear axles weren’t on properly. I got them on better, but they aren’t perfect. Interestingly, the white walls are part of the wheel, the rubber is only the black part.

There is one annoying casting line on the right rear corner. It actually doesn’t look as bad in person.

The radiator was glued in crooked. I broke it off trying to straighten it out. nothing a drop of super glue won’t fix though.

Here it is with it’s 90's counter-part. The tampos are WAY better on the new one, also the new one has a metal base to the old one’s plastic. I’m glad to have them both. These new RC’s are well worth the $6. I found these at Walmart, but I also saw pegs for them at TRU. TRU did have Auto Worlds and Johnny Lightnings in stock. I’m glad to see distribution of these brands expanding, now if they’d finally release some NEW Auto Worlds, I’ll be really happy.
