It’s my favorite day of the week, and I have a newish acquisition to share with you that I’m very pleased with. The Pop Culture stuff can be very hit or miss, but this one is a winner on pretty much all fronts.

First, it’s a Chevelle Delivery. I have a hard time not buying any versions of the Chevelle wagon or delivery.

Second, is the deco. I like blue cars, I like Star Trek (more of a TNG guy personally, but you can’t disrespect TOS), and I like George Takei.

I have a few minor quibbles about the deco on the driver’s side. They put Mr. Sulu’s face right over the door seam, which is a little unfortunate, and the color registration on this side is a little off, which means that it kind of looks like he’s got a head wound instead of a bit of hair over his forehead. You also got the copyright text there. All that to say, this car is best displayed in the traditional HW manner (driving towards the right).

But honestly, that’s all pretty picky stuff. Overall, the deco is well-executed, and I like the wheels as well.

The headlight tampos are welcome, and although I apparently forgot to take a good picture of the top, there are attractive dark blue stripes.

All in all, an excellent addition to my wagon collection.

Thanks for looking!
