Looks I will have to get myself one of those drift pads to accommodate my Initial D Tomica. The latest releases are these two - the Takahashi Brothers’ Mazdas.

First up, Ryosuke Takahashi’s FC3S. Ryosuke is the older of the two brothers, so he has the older car. And this one is done up with the insignia of his Racing Team, the “Redsuns”.

This is a brand new casting - the lamps are fixed in the “up” position - as this is how the car is usually seen in the manga. It looks good to me, and the wheels are good for a mid-range Tomica.

Keisuke Takahashi drives the FD3S - and this model is the later (in the story) Project D version.

This casting has already been issued as the number 4 in the Tomica Premium series. The plastic spoiler on this one looks a bit obvious and cheap - otherwise, no complaints from me about this model. Overall I kind of prefer the FC though.

Hey, time to look at some of the old Initial D episodes again!
