After the warm welcome I received with my first post on that Bburago Range Rover, I decided to follow it up by the second package I received that week, this Welly 1:64 BMW 2002ti. I had planned to take care of that the week of receiving it, but you know...life...life’s a bitch, innit?

Basically, I bought this model for a number of reasons.

1. I wanted a classic BMW in my collection. Classic BMW models are not really a rarity, but it seems like ones under the 100 dollar mark are either crap or Hot Wheels, but then I found this on diecastmodelswholesale. It was perfect, everything seems nicely detailed and put together, so no real complaints on that part.

2. It’s a nearly perfect replica of a car that was once in my family. My mom is from Germany and I believe it was either her father or grandfather who owned a bright orange BMW Neue Klasse back in the early 70s while she was still over there. So that was another bonus.

But all in all, I really like this model. It has a sense of classic elegance to it, and like I said, details aren’t perfect, but there was a massive attempt. It’s given me an urge to follow it up with more classics here soon, so stay tuned for that. As always, let’s finish this with the photodump.

There will be a post on that Miura soon. I just have to clean and dust it off.
