Got some freshly DLMed Chevy goodness for you today. An older acquisition from the ‘Bay and a couple recent HWEPs.
I’m unabashedly a Marvel fanboy, but I’ve enjoyed the Justice League cartoons on Netflix with my kids (I think it’s about time for a rewatch, now that I think about it), so when I saw this MBX C3 Corvette featuring animated Wonder Woman, I pretty much had to have it.
I was disappointed when I DLMed it a little while ago to find out that the suspension in the back was borked, so the rear wheels were just flopping around and it was just sitting with the tires in rubbing on the wheel wells (which, combined with the rather excessively wide wheelbase on this casting, was not a good situation). So I drilled it out and found that the springy suspension piece had not been pushed down all the way on the peg in the middle, so it was a quick and easy fix and now it’s riding where it’s supposed to (which is honestly a little high, but what can you do?).
Otherwise, it’s a nice little car. It’s an older casting and it shows, but that’s part of the charm.
There are various molding imperfections, but the deco work is excellent.
Also freshly DLMed today:
MBX ‘97 Corvette. This was from a HWEP with sowles. It’s a blue Corvette, how can I say no?
And from Plasticprints:
We’ve seen a fair amount of the Greenwood ‘Vette here, but let’s bask in its loveliness anyway.
The Greenwood and Wonder Woman have, uh, certain similarities in the silhouette:
And here’s all 3 together again:
And you can’t have a bunch of Corvettes without a booty shot:
