My 1/64th scale collection numbers deep into the thousands, but I had yet to secure a Tarmac Works car — until today. The limited edition RWB 930 Apple got delivered and it was worth every penny. From the packaging to the Porsche’s uber good details, this apple is straight-up golden delicious.
For starters, the packaging is very well done. It’s plastic wrapped and has a nice thick cardstock sleeve with great Apple colored graphics.
Once you take a deep breath and crack that wrapper, you’ll be greeted by a nice plastic case and a model chassis number card — which I really like.
The car is mounted via one screw onto a matching textured base, which it’s easily removed from.
Once it’s free, it’s glorious. SO. MANY. DETAILS. Seriously. The thing has scaled wiper arms/blades and tampos so clear it’s hard to think they could put this much detail into a three inch car.
Of course I had to put it in Greenlight’s hobby-only white garage — it goes so well against the rainbow stripe on the Porsche.
And because Apple edition, here are a few bonus pics with an original Macintosh bumper sticker.
