You never know...

...where a future hawl might be. I mentioned that a got a hawl last Saturday, and I got all of them from my mom-in-law except this one. I found this guy in a very unusual place.

Waiting for her family to arrive so we can pick up pizza and do some shopping in one trip, we choose a road at random. Oddly enough, it led us downtown, where we've always gone, so nothing new.

But we kept traveling on the road and my wife saw a tool store. I wasn't crazy about going into it, but my wife said the magic words, "they might have knives". For those of you new, my wife loves to collect knives.

So we go into the store, and lo and behold, we saw knives then some loose cars in a bucket. Journeying further into the store, I saw a cardboard box, with about 8 JLs in it, most of them this car but with different colors.

I asked for a price on all the cars, and he said they were all $5 and above, which is...ok-ish. What he said next got my attention, "the more you get, the better deal I can give you". That sold me. Unfortunately, I had only $6 in my wallet. But the guy covered the tax, so I'm really liking him now, :).

Talking with him, I find out he has even more JL's at home, ready to be sold. He even offered me, for $15 dollars, a Revell 1:64 Fast and the Furious diecast car, with Walkers on the packaging. He stated that the price will go up for it (it probably will), but because he offered it for $15 to me, he won't change the price of it. This guy is awesome, :).

Anyway, this just goes to show you, you never know where you might find diecast, especially JL's. :)
